The world famous Beer Barons of Montana were originally created in Great Falls. It was established as Park Food Lane in 1968 as a small mom and pop grocery store by Bob and Betty Bielen, and in 1973 they introduced the now famous Beer Baron Sausage.

Through the years, Beer Barons have been served at fairs, rodeos, reunions, barbecues, tailgate parties, and many other special events.

The Bielens retired in 1996 and the second generation of Bielens, Scott and Melody, continued operation of the business, under Beer Baron of Montana, Inc.  They have expanded the availability and marketing of the famous sausage and are now fulfilling orders across the United States. In addition, they have been helping customers all across the country find Beer Barons in their own state. The Bielens have also had international requests for the sausages, thus making them “world famous.”
